Legends in Business - Alison Barrass

 

Born in the UK Alison first came to New Zealand in 1985 and lived in Galatea for a year, eventually settling in Rotorua where she began her career in FMCG with Pepsi Cola. She has worked in the Food Industry in New Zealand and Australia, with a career that culminated in roles as CEO of Griffin’s Foods and CEO of Goodman Fielder New Zealand.
 
Alison is now a full time Professional Director and is on the boards of Spark (NZX 50), GWA (ASX 200), Heilala Vanilla and Rockit Apples.  She is currently Chair of  Tom & Luke ltd and Babich Wines and was previously chair of Methven NZ.

She lives in Auckland with her two children, Cameron (13) and Isobel (11) and is an amateur author in her spare time.
