BNZ Women in Business Xmas Edition

It is that time of year again ladies, Christmas is nearly upon us!

Normally we would not do a WIB this close together but last year’s Christmas edition at Cadera was such a hit we just have to do it again!

This year we have decided to do it slightly differently and it a Christmas Charity edition. Christmas is all about giving and we have chosen our local Whakatāne Kiwi Trust to receive $10 from every ticket sold.
There will be amazing prizes to give away, raffles and a VERY special auction up for grabs. Let’s just say the lucky winner will get to have a very special experience with one of our local kiwi.

More details to follow but make sure you come along as you won’t want to miss this one!

We are so lucky to have the wonderful staff at Cadera open up especially for this Women In Business. A delicious lunch of 2 tacos, their famous hot chips + corn chips will be provided and it will be happy hour at the bar.

We can't wait to see you there xx

Whakatāne Kiwi Trust

The Whakatāne district is abundant with indigenous wildlife including our national symbol, the kiwi. It is both unusual and exciting to to have a population of kiwi so close to a major centre, as they are in Whakatāne.

Kiwi, literally live in our backyards here. Residents and visitors to the area have the unique opportunity to walk into the bush and step into kiwi territory. This exceptional set of circumstances has led to Whakatāne gaining the tile of ‘Kiwi Capital of the World™’.

However, without active management this endangered bird and other native species are at risk of declining once again towards extinction. Since the project’s inception in 2001, an intensive network of bait stations and traps has been established in the three main scenic reserves surrounding the town, and active kiwi monitoring has been conducted by volunteers.

Our local Kiwi need your help, by coming along to our Women In Business Christmas Charity edition you will be helping raise funds that will go towards saving one of our local treasures and helping the Whakatāne Kiwi Trust keep up the hard mahi they do in our back yard.

Lunch menu will be sent out for pre order prior to the event.
