The purpose of the Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce Events is to bring various professionals and business together to discuss their successes, and even their failures. This is an excellent way for us to advocate for our members. Our local chamber events will help you stay up to date on what is happening in our community and will allow you to form relationships with business owners like you.

 

Business After 5 (BA5)

BA5 events are hosted by our members and organisations throughout the Eastern Bay, Generally hosted at the members venue these are fantastic networking events coordinated by the Chamber. They provide valuable opportunities to educate the market on your business and meet with other professionals. Members use these low-key after five evenings to interactively promote their products and services while networking with Chamber guests.

They provide the perfect opportunity for members to network, socialise, share experiences and make valuable business connections in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Refreshments are served throughout the evening and the host makes a brief presentation about their business.

Hosting a BA5 is an ideal way to involve others in your business activities. The Chamber organises and markets the event on your behalf, promoting it online through the Eastern Bay Chamber website and in an e-newsletter. Hosting members are required to cover the venue and catering costs.

 

Lunch and Learn:


Training and development in your business has never been easier! The Eastern Bay Chamber of Commerce hosts monthly trainings sessions to increase your business capability and skills. Learn from industry leaders and experts around improving business productivity growth and innovation. Presenting a lunch and learn is a great way to showcase your business and share your tops for the success of other.

Each interactive session will feature a dynamic speaker on a relevant topic for 45 minutes as well as Q and A time.


BNZ Women in Business:

Women in Business provides networking for women who own their own business, are in a management role, or those who work within any organisation in the Eastern Bay and for those who support women in business. We hold quarterly events for professional and personal development to celebrate women in business.

Our purpose is to:

Support businesswomen to grow and expand their businesses
Provide an opportunity to meet with like-minded women with the greater Eastern Bay region
Tap into support, knowledge, and experience
Provide personal and professional development including inspirational guest speakers
Offer the opportunity to profile local Women in Business and make business connections through networking

 

The Ladder “Young Professionals”:

The Ladder is the Eastern Bay’s young professional’s network. We alongside other local organisations host regular networking events, workshops and activities where the Eastern Bay’s professional under-40s can gather and share ideas, advice, and connections.

We aim to provide a blend of networking events like Bi - Monthly Mixers, BBQs, workshops and even some fun, relaxed activities like lawn bowls.
