Throughout my working career I have focused strongly within the mental health sector and the importance of employment for recovery. I have also worked closely within the migrant space as well as youth to create life changing opportunities in a therapeutic also client centred focus. Having a sense of purpose in an individual’s life comes in many shapes and forms but employment is fundamental to our survival but also needs to be fulfilling.
I am able to create excellent relationships within communities and with employers to be able to connect them with the job seekers. I bring management experience from leadership roles within the mental health sector, managed my own consulting business and currently own a business here in the Bay of plenty.
I currently run programmes for the Auckland Chamber of Commerce across the Bay of Plenty called Cadetmax. CadetMax works with young adults between the ages of 18-24 in all aspects of pre-employment, inspires all youth and imparts a sense of hope with real employment outcomes. We create employment solutions and outcomes for youth so they can add value to our working communities as well as their families. We provide employment job search training, mentoring, recruitment in finding meaningful jobs and bring an opportunity for our youth to develop and grow personally as well as defining the professional aspects of them selves. We also work closely with employers to support them in all aspects of recruitment with our cadets and provide 6 months mentoring for each cadet whilst they are in work.
