Hi I’m Brad Mckenzie, Dealer Principal Nicholson Autos here in Whakatane. I’m a fourth generation Whakatane boy and I live in town with my wife and three children. I’m deeply rooted in our local community, I believe that not only is Whakatane a great place to live and raise children, its also a fantastic place to build a business and be successful in your chosen career.

I bring to the chamber 15 years’ experience in the automotive industry. I am very passionate about seeing the youth in our community thrive, both in sport and in business and I see my working with the board as a way of advocating for the needs and unique challenges that are faced by young people both in business, and going into business, in the Eastern Bay.

My goal is to evolve and grow the mentorship that is offered by the chamber, especially for younger people and to assist with new business growth and development. I can see that we have an incredible breadth of knowledge and experience in our region, alongside some ingenious and original business entrepreneurs and I would like to see our local chamber play a role in bringing these together to create exciting new businesses in our region.
